I've fallin' for the new desktop search provided by Google. It does everything I want it to do, quickly. My machine at work has well over 300,000 files on it now and it can find any file at the drop of a dime.
The new menu that accompanies the 2.0 version is nice, but we'll see if it really takes up my desktop real estate for much more than a week. I've been wondering, is Google implementing the same technology to create the side bar that Apple is using for it's widgets? The two technologies seem to be very closely related and I wouldn't be surprised if there is some correlationt here.
Anyway, check it out here. I hear there is a version coming out for the Mac as well, which I'm sure is going to cause a stir with all of the Spotlight addicts. I might with me too if only I had a Mac... For now I'll settle for anything that outperforms and isn't made by Microsoft. At the moment I've got system resources to burn, so why not?!
